Socially Active Children Without Any Depression

Being happy and having a good social life with family and friends is very important for the health of children. Depression is more than feeling sad or low. It is an illness and can increase your risk of coronary heart disease. Depression can be treated. If you feel depressed for more than two weeks, talk with your doctor, a family member or someone you know well.

Professional organizations involved in children’s health

Children’s health acknowledges the influences of the biological, behavioral, social, and physical environments on health trajectories. Professional organizations focused on children's health and well-being, such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, have embraced this definition of children's health and are operationalizing this in funding mechanisms, programs, and policies.

Supportive environment to ensure safety of children health
Parents can take some precautions to ensure the safety of their children’s health. Childproofing the home, following a recommended immunization schedule, educating kids on safety, learning CPR, and taking kids for regular well-child check-ups can help to protect against physical harm. In addition, encouraging open communication with children can help them grow both emotionally and socially. Providing a loving and supportive home environment can help to nurture an emotionally healthy child who is independent, self-confident, socially skilled, insightful, and empathetic towards others.

Reduction of overweight by low food intake and exercise

Overweight occurs when food energy intake exceeds energy, expenditure. The causes of the current obesity epidemic are complex, with inadequate physical activity being a critical factor. Physical activity declines when children lack adequate opportunity to exercise during or after school and when they rely on private automobile transportation rather than walking, biking or mass transit. Community and neighborhood design can either promote or hinder physical activity. Design and program strategies such as building sidewalks to encourage walking developing and promoting walk-to-school programs and reducing traffic speeds all are ways to promote physical activity.

Challenges faced by optimal health of children

Because of the mutable nature of childhood and the desired long-range impact of any initiative targeting early childhood, the Board will face challenges in how to use outcomes and indicators to measure their success in attaining optimal child health. Outcomes will need to be viewed in both the short and long term. In addition, because child health indicators are indirect measures of the health of communities as well as our state it is important that it will choose indicators of child health that measure children health status from the perspective of not only the child, but also their environment.

Physical activities for  protection of children health

Physical activity can help you to maintain weight loss or be a healthy weight. Being active doesn’t have to mean hours at the gym: you can find ways to fit more activity into your daily life. For example, try getting off the bus one stop early on the way home from work, and walking. Being physically active may help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and type II diabetes. After getting active, remember not to reward you with a treat that is high in energy. If you feel hungry after activity, choose foods or drinks that are lower in calories, but still filling.
